Mexican Takeover: Tortilla Workshop
Chef Sylvia Vavik is an acclaimed and respected person in the Norwegian -Mexican food segment. She has won “Norges Grillmester” on TV2 and is a pioneer in the Mexican gastronomy scene in Norway. In this course, she will be sharing her knowledge on making authentic handmade corn tortillas.
Tortillas are central in the Mexican kitchen. The smell of fresh tortillas always bring the family around the table. Usually everyone has a hand in the dough making. The course involves a “hands on” step by step tortilla making session. Learn the steps from making the dough to frying tortillas. Come and be a part of the group and get personal tips from Chef Sylvia as she overlooks and helps each individual in their tortilla making process. This is a child friendly course and families are welcome.
Where: Matsalen in Mathallen (second floor)
The class is free and there is room for twenty people.
