Dog kennel at Vulkan
At Vulkan you can safely place your dog in our dog kennels while you stop by the store to shop, grab a coffee or a snack. The dog kennels are located right outside Mathallen and can be used for up to 1 hour at a time.
AMOI becomes Mathallen's new online store
Mathallen is relaunching AMOI in a new, exclusive version. Customers in Oslo and the surrounding area can now have quality products from the food market at Vulkan delivered directly to their door.
Food and wine course at KA
Kulinarisk Akademi is located on the 2nd floor of Mathallen and is a competence center for food and drink. Perhaps you would like to learn more about how to make sauce, about the street food trend or how to taste wine? Check out the KA course calendar!

Mathallen is open
Some of our stores are open, but opening hours may differ slightly from normal. Some restaurants are open for takeaway, but unfortunately it is not allowed to sit down to enjoy food and drinks in the hall.
Do something good during the winter holidays
This year we won't be able to invite the children to cooking classes during the winter holidays, but there's of course nothing stopping them from starting a little cooking at home in the kitchen! Culinary Academy and Foodsteps have put together a few simple and very good recipes that both children and adults can try out.
Do it yourself: Butter chicken
Simply Tasty is a colorful addition to Mathallen. In addition to their fresh salads and hot soups, they offer delicious, spicy Pakistani dishes. Now they have created a video where you can learn how to make an authentic butter chicken – just like Simply Tasty usually makes it.
Make wonton soup at home
Hongs Bao Bao produces and sells Dim Sum products, including homemade dumplings and wonton. Wonton soup is a classic Asian soup with a delicious taste and juicy wontons floating in it, and here you can learn how to make this soup at home.

Agrossist is now launching three different fruit and vegetable boxes. They are ordered and paid for on their website, and picked up the next day at Agrossist in Mathallen. Easy!
The winners of Mathallen's cake competition
Every year Mathallen usually invites to a cake party when we celebrate a birthday, but the celebration in 2020, like so many other things, had to be a little different. The 8th birthday was therefore celebrated with a digital cake competition and among many great contributions, we have drawn the three who ended up on the podium.
